Comte de St. Germain was the most enigmatic person of 18-19th century Europe according to Voltaire. He was involved in French and American Revolutions. He warned Marie-Antoinette of the pending catastrophe and was almost imprisoned in Bastille for his help. A former freiline of Marie-Antoinette left memoirs in which his active role became very evident.
